How much will be spent for road repair in this year
It is planned to repair 2,4 thousand of kilometers of roads in Kazakhstan, which is at 63 percent is higher than scope of works in the last year – reports Tengrinews.kz with reference at monitoring agency Energyprom.kz. According to the information of the agency due to poor technical condition of roads, accident risks in bridges and overloading of roads at approach to cities speed capabilities of vehicles cannot be realized, and fuel consumption increases in 1,3-1,5 times.
Costs for repair and maintenance of transport are increased in 2,5-3,4 times, life of vehicles decreases at 20-30 percent. In this year state sector planned to carry out middle and capital repair of republican, oblast and regional roads at 2.4 thousand of kilometers which is at 63 percent higher than in the last year.
Financing for the year increased at 60 percent, amounting to 160.7 billion tenge, including 73.4 billion tenge allocated for repair, maintenance and gardening of roads having republican importance. 71.1 billion tenge is allocated for repair of highways of regional importance in order to increase capacity and competitiveness of routes passing through the territory of the republic, as well as to improve traffic safety. 8.6 billion tenge is allocated for capital and medium repairs of street-road network of settlements, which is at 73 percent more than in the last year.
As of January 1, 2017, 44 percent of republican roads are in good condition, 41 percent in satisfactory and 15 percent in unsatisfactory. The development of road infrastructure, taking into account the above resources, will help to increase proportion of roads in good condition, in 2017 – up to 48 percent, and in 2019 – up to 52 percent from the total road length. The greatest concentration of roads in good condition is observed in Kyzylorda oblast – 72 percent, the smallest in Atyrau and Almaty oblasts – 32 and 31.8 percent. As for regional roads, only 21 percent are in good condition, 44 percent are in satisfactory and 35 percent are in unsatisfactory. In 2018, according to the plan, share of roads in a good and satisfactory condition will be 67 percent. The best indicator is recorded in Mangistau oblast – 56 percent of roads are in good condition, the worst is in WKO 11 percent.
