Construction of Big Almaty Ring Road (BAKAD) will be started in 2017.
As it was reported by Yerlan Khairov Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan at government meeting on investments and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, construction of Big
Almaty Ring Road "BAKAD" will be started already in this year, negotiations are already hold with consortium "Alsim Alarko – McOil – СК – Korean Expressway", during which all nuances of construction are discussed, and it should be mentioned that estimated cost of the project for today already exceeds 350.7 billion tenge.
In the near future, namely from 2019, it is planned to carry out construction of bypass roads also in Southern Kazakhstan within public and private partnership. And these are not the last projects in roads construction that continue to gather pace.
So, for example, 110 million tenge were allocated to provide consulting services for development of concession offer and feasibility study under the project "Construction and operation of toll road South-West bypass of Shymkent city" with length of 48 km. Estimated cost of the project is 53.6 billion tenge, and in the project "Construction of road "Bypass of Saryagash with access to the border of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Konyspaev's post)" with length of 98 km, an investment proposal was sent to the MNE of the RK for an economic conclusion. Estimated cost is 56.4 billion tenge.
