Minister for Investments and Development of the RoK Aset Isekeshev has inspected construction of the road “Astana-Temirtau”

Today Minister for Investments and Development of the RoK Aset Isekeshev (on photo) has got acquainted with a process of reconstruction of “Astana-Temirtau” road  and carried out a field meeting with chiefs of contracting organizations on the project, as informed by the press-service of the department.

Length of Astana-Temirtau road is -171 km. According to the project it will be changed to the 1 category with 4 lane traffic and with concrete pavement.

Civil works at the road were started in 2013 at 2 sections having length of 22 km. At present time civil works are being carried out at 5 sections with a total length of 109 km. For civil works 5 contracting organization were used, 640 pcs. of road-building engines, 5 placing plants and 5 concrete plants were mobilized. More than 1 thousand of people were engaged.

At present time, contracting organizations carry out earthwork, construction of engineering structures, reconstruction of communications and arrangement of pavement at all sections.

In September of the present year the contractors will be specified for 2 more sections, and the road will be covered with civil works completely.

It is expected that up to the end of the current year first 12 km will be brought into service. Totally the project is planned to be finished in 2016.

Following the results of the meeting Aset Isekeshev has ordered to increase work speed, make more rigorous quality control, and to assure secure passage at total length of the section.
